About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our Operations team at Huel. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a procurement strategy that drives business growth and improves our supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with our business objectives and drives cost savings and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including NPD, technical, and materials planning teams, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Manage supplier relationships to build strong partnerships and negotiate favorable terms.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with technical, ethical, and sustainability standards.
- Negotiate contracts to secure the best possible prices and terms.
- Work closely with the Materials Planning Team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Mentor and coach other members of the procurement team to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Lead procurement projects to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in a procurement or senior buying position, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing business needs and priorities.
