Lead Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our Health and Justice team at Spectrum Community Health CIC. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team and providing effective clinical leadership on a wide range of issues.
Key duties include:
- Contributing to and delivering a comprehensive primary care health service
- Leading a multi-disciplinary team and assisting and supporting others in undertaking physical and/or health assessments
- Providing a range of health treatments/interventions for prisoners and contributing to the wider continuous development of prison healthcare services
- Day-to-day line management of the Primary Care Team, ensuring that the delegation of work takes into account the roles, skills and competence of staff
- Supporting other senior managers in ensuring a high level of performance within the team is maintained
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience of working in a complex environment with multidisciplinary professionals
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Experience of clinical governance used to improve patient care
- Experience of leading a team and effectively using policy and procedures to improve clinical and professional standards
- Understanding and application of confidentiality
- Experience of working within Health & Justice
- Experience of working in primary care/substance misuse/acute care
