About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children in their final year of Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork and creating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pastoral Care: Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their well-being and development.
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets and encouraging strengths and improvement.
  • Mathematics: Develop children's maths ability, introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • English: Help children develop their writing skills, creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track children's progress and report back to parents as necessary.
About the School

Our school is a 2-form entry school located in a lovely residential area, providing a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. We aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through our supportive pastoral environment.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications, including experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Communication: Ability to commute to Cambridge on a daily basis.
  • Leadership: Confidence to lead a class, manage behaviour, and proactively contribute to the school community.
