We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Low Carbon Communications Manager to join our team at Gemserv. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in shaping the narrative around sustainability, climate action, and the low-carbon transition.
Key Responsibilities- Communication Leadership: Develop and execute integrated communication strategies that advance our clients' low-carbon agendas, including crafting compelling messages, narratives, and campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Content Creation & Thought Leadership: Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including reports, policy briefs, blogs, press releases, and social media content, ensuring our communications are evidence-based, well-researched, and aligned with our clients' goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and media representatives, representing our clients at meetings, conferences, and public forums.
- Team Management & Collaboration: Manage and mentor a team of communications professionals, ensuring high standards of output and fostering a collaborative work environment, working closely with other teams to integrate communication strategies across all projects.
- Business Development: Support business growth by identifying new opportunities for expanding our low-carbon communications services, developing proposals, participating in client meetings, and contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.
- Experience & Qualifications: A relevant degree in communications, public relations, energy policy, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in a communications role, focusing on sustainability, energy, or public affairs, and experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise, and impactful messages, with strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, and experience in engaging with media and public stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking & Creativity: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative communication strategies that drive engagement and influence, with a proactive approach to identifying emerging trends and opportunities in the low-carbon sector.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, policymakers, and industry partners.
- Passion for Sustainability: A deep commitment to the low-carbon transition and a desire to contribute to meaningful change in the fight against climate change.
