Assistant Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Accountant/Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team within a growing global organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process daily payments and receipts in various currencies.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
  • Set up payments in accordance with the Company's standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Process booking forms, raise purchase orders, and sales invoices.
  • Process supplier invoices and staff expenses.
  • Conduct sales and purchase ledger reviews and maintenance.
  • Communicate with the sales team and resolve queries.
  • Provide support to team members with workload and holiday cover as needed.
  • Manage intercompany transactions, including journals.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end duties such as bank revaluations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, sales and cost of sales reconciliations, and liaising with external auditors.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Finance Analyst/Assistant Accountant is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Well-organised and proactive with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, reliable, diligent, and trustworthy.
  • Fluency in a second language is desirable.
