Senior Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in providing expert accountancy services to our clients, working closely with senior team members to support the firm's strategic direction.

Job Purpose
  • Prepare and review accounts for various business entities, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies.
  • Liaise directly with clients, providing exceptional customer service and building trusted relationships.
  • Forecast and manage budgets, oversee workflow, and mentor junior staff with training and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare personal and corporation tax computations, including tax returns and providing trusted advisory services.
  • Work closely with senior team members to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence, setting an example to junior staff as a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant.

Requirements
  • AAT qualified, with at least 12 months' post-qualification experience
  • Or qualified by experience, with at least three years' experience across a broad range of accountancy support for a varied client portfolio
  • Working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero
  • Experience using software for accounts production, such as CCH
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and advisory skills
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage a team's workflow
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others
  • Confidently mentor junior team members, in a positive and constructive manner
