Financial Accountant Role

Join O'Hanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd, a leading Electrical & Building Contractors with over 40 years of experience, as a Financial Accountant. This role will play a key part in the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Quarterly Divisional Management Accounts
  • Preparation of Year End Management Accounts, including Audit Pack
  • Quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, including backup
  • Preparation of Ad Hoc Finance reports
  • Completion of Statutory Government returns, including VAT, RCT & CIS
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliations
  • Purchase & Subcontractor Ledger Management
  • Accounts Payable Function
  • Maintenance of Monthly Aged Creditors Report
  • Ensuring Company Control/Procedures followed
Requirements:
  • Qualified Accounting Technician or Part Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years experience within a busy Finance function where they have managed others
  • Construction Industry and Sage experience (desirable, but not essential)
  • Essential Skills: Self-motivated and results orientated, Excellent systems skills including a strong grasp of Excel, Deadline driven & a team player, Excellent communication skills, attention to detail & problem solving, Trustworthy & dependable
