Data Protection Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Manager to join our team at Data Privacy Recruitment Ltd. As a Data Protection Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the charity's activities are aligned with privacy legislation, regulation, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations on data protection topics, including data rights requests, data processing activities, data breach management, and data sharing.
  • Create and maintain documentation to evidence legal and regulatory compliance, including registrations with the Information Commissioners Office.
  • Identify and address areas where the organisation needs to review strategy, policy, or procedure, leading on the development and delivery of colleague awareness and training.
  • Lead on data breach and information incident management response handling and reporting.
  • Support the development and lead implementation of relevant data privacy and compliance policies, processes, and procedures.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced data protection professional who is genuinely passionate about data protection, privacy principles, and the charity sector. The ideal candidate will have a pragmatic and commercially minded approach to privacy management, with a focus on putting the individual first.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity. They will also have a strong understanding of data protection legislation, regulation, and best practice, including the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations, and the requirements set by the Information Commissioner's Office.
