About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP & YOI Hollesley Bay, a category D prison located in Suffolk.

HMP Hollesley Bay is a male prison with a capacity for 434 inmates. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality mental health services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to provide mental health services to patients.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Conduct audits and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health with current professional qualification (NMC).
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards.
