Actuarial Consultant

Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting, with a strong presence in the UK. We are seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join our team in London.

The successful candidate will work closely with our management consulting team and actuarial teams across Europe and other regions to analyse complex problems and develop innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Capital and financial reporting, leveraging tools available and developed by Oliver Wyman globally.
  2. Risk management and support, including validation, risk appetite reviews and oversight.
  3. New business propositions and product development, including modelling, valuation analysis and strategy support.
  4. Mergers & acquisitions due diligence, including assumption review, management support and strategy.
  5. Transformation of pre and post actuarial model data and processes.
  6. Actuarial model conversions and optimisation.
  7. Client and industry presentations, surveys, case studies and wider marketing support and business development.
  8. Development and maintenance of intellectual capital.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field.
  2. Commitment to passing actuarial exams to achieve FIA designation within a few years.
  3. Strong skills with MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  4. Strong modelling skills with practical experience in at least one coding language.
  5. Track record of and desire for rapid learning, high performance, and professional growth.
