Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Prime Appointments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's dynamic and innovative team. Based on the outskirts of Chelmsford, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of machinery and facilities, ensuring effective and efficient repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, utilizing strong knowledge of systems and technical manuals.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment failure and optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure equipment availability and efficiency, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, providing valuable insights for future maintenance planning.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, with experience in PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings, with a focus on precision and attention to detail.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3, HNC, or HND, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
