Job Overview

SGS is seeking a skilled and dedicated Asbestos Surveyor to support our clients in ensuring the safety of their properties and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough asbestos surveys in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Identify and sample suspected asbestos-containing materials, recording accurate and detailed findings.
  • Assess the condition and risk of identified asbestos materials, providing clear and concise reports to clients.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of asbestos legislation and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
  • Certification or qualification in asbestos surveying, such as P403, P404, or RSPH equivalent.
  • Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor, ideally within a similar role or environment.
  • Strong knowledge of asbestos-related legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record and document survey findings.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with survey software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
