Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our Classical Blinds Ltd team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
    • Manage inventory levels, track stock, and ensure accurate ordering to meet customer demand.
  • Sales & Customer Service:
    • Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement.
    • Assist customers with product selection, providing expert advice on various types of blinds, window treatments, and installation services.
    • Handle complex customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction.
  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and manage store staff, including sales associates and installation teams.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support staff development.
    • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that promotes high morale and performance.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, sales reports, and expense tracking.
    • Manage cash flow, ensuring proper handling of transactions, deposits, and reconciliations.
    • Work with the accounting team to review financial statements, prepare sales forecasts, and adjust operations as needed to maintain profitability.
  • Marketing & Business Development:
    • Develop and execute local marketing initiatives, including promotions, community outreach, and partnerships with local interior designers and contractors.
    • Ensure a strong online presence through social media and other digital marketing efforts.
    • Identify opportunities for growth, such as expanding the product line, targeting new customer segments, or enhancing the store's online sales.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Provide regular reports to the owner/CEO on sales performance, customer feedback, and operational challenges.
    • Leadership and team management experience.
    • Knowledge of financial and operational principles, with the ability to manage budgets and inventory.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and POS systems.
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)
