IT Support Technician

The IT Support Technician plays a crucial role in delivering technical support and assistance to users within the organization. This position entails addressing hardware, software, and network challenges, as well as installing and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems. The technician will collaborate closely with the IT department to ensure efficient operations and prompt resolution of issues, thereby enhancing overall productivity. This is a hands-on support role that may require flexibility for additional hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical assistance to users through multiple communication channels
  • Manage and maintain the ticketing system
  • Support servers, personal computers, applications, and printers
  • Install authorized software applications
  • Implement IT security protocols
  • Ensure system uptime and connectivity
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware problems
  • Document outages and provide timely updates
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of users
  • Deploy and maintain endpoint devices
  • Create user documentation
  • Build relationships with users to understand their business needs
  • Participate in special projects as assigned

Education: A degree or certification in Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.

Skills:

  • Experience in IT support
  • Familiarity with desktop applications
  • Proficiency in other desktop technologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot network-related issues
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to manage business partnerships and multitask effectively
  • Experience in handling confidential information

Travel may be required occasionally. Candidates should have been residents for a minimum of three years and must undergo security vetting.
