Electrical Craftsperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Craftsperson to join our team at Breedon Group plc. As a key member of our electrical maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our cement manufacturing facilities.

• Safety
  • Take responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in toolbox talks and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
  • Raise safety observations and work with the team to resolve any issues.
• Duties
  • Perform multi-skilled electrical engineering maintenance tasks, including planned maintenance inspections and corrective works.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and testing to ensure compliance with BS7671 standards.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, and maintain accurate records of work completed.
  • Work with variable speed drives and PLCs, and have a good understanding of control and instrumentation systems.
  • Predictive and preventative maintenance of large motors and drive systems.
  • Work with medium voltage networks, including switching methods and maintenance operations.
• Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant electrical engineering qualification, such as a City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 & 2 or 2230 Level 3 NVQ 2356 / 2357.
  • Have a good understanding of electrical maintenance methods and techniques.
  • Hold a 18th Edition Wiring Regulation BS7671 Certificate.
  • Have experience working in a heavy industrial environment, with a good understanding of cement manufacturing processes.
  • Have a good working knowledge of process gas analysis systems and techniques.
  • Have a basic knowledge of IT systems, including SAP, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
