About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Operative to join our team at Riverside. As an Environmental Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining the grounds and landscaped areas owned by the Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake general maintenance to hard and soft landscaped areas, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, litter picking, and clearing leaves.
  • Provide a rapid response to the removal of fly tipping, rubbish removal, and graffiti removal.
  • Maintain safe working practices at all times when utilising hand tools and machinery.
  • Report health, safety, and environmental breaches and issues to the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Apply 'Our Riverside Way' by delivering excellent customer service at all times.
  • Provide community insight and report any environmental issues, community safety, or resident feedback to the Environmental Supervisor.
  • Maintain effective relationships with colleagues on each of our contracts.
  • Undertake personal development and training to keep up to date with relevant legislation.
  • Work collaboratively and flexibly across all teams within the organisation.
Requirements
  • Environmental Services / grounds maintenance experience.
  • Ability to undertake manual work.
  • Customer focussed with excellent communication skills.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements.
