Key Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of assigned tasks, adhering to company protocols, and achieving customer satisfaction. Tasks are typically scheduled 3-4 weeks in advance. The primary duties include responding to breakdowns, performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and installing various company products. The role involves a mix of home-based work and nationwide travel.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform service, installation, and commissioning of products.
- Ensure safe and timely execution of tasks.
- Work with various pumps, piping systems, and hydraulics.
- Collaborate with sales for the specification of new systems.
- Provide technical support as needed.
- Interpret engineering schematics and technical drawings.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate for the Field Service Engineer position will have a background in industrial maintenance, preferably within process or heavy industries, although this is not a strict requirement. The company welcomes applications from engineers looking to transition into a service role or those already in similar positions seeking new challenges.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Willingness to travel and adapt as necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
- Experience with pumps, piping systems, and valves is preferred.
