About the Role

Forseven, a pioneering company at the forefront of the electric vehicle industry, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating and implementing complex supplier contracts, providing strategic advice to sourcing teams, and managing legal aspects of procurement operations.

This role will operate in a hybrid capacity, offering a unique blend of autonomy and collaboration. The Legal team is newly created and still evolving, providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to become a permanent member of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and Implement Complex Contracts: Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies while negotiating and implementing complex production and non-production supplier contracts.
  • Strategic Advice and Process Management: Serve as a strategic advisor to the large sourcing team on process management, from supplier due diligence and nomination to contract implementation.
  • Procurement Operations and Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and processes to streamline procurement operations and ensure consistency and efficiency in contract management.
  • Contract Management and Risk Monitoring: Oversee contract management systems to ensure accurate documentation, tracking, and compliance with contractual obligations, while providing legal advice on supplier risk monitoring.
  • Dispute Resolution and Supplier Management: Facilitate dispute resolution processes between the company and suppliers, striving for fair and timely resolutions while protecting the company's interests.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' PQE qualified solicitor with experience in commercial contracts and procurement, including complex supply chain management in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of procurement processes, including supplier due diligence, nomination, and contract management, as well as experience developing and implementing policies and processes to enhance procurement operations.
  • Leadership and Management: Experience in leadership and management of others, with a proven track record of negotiating and drafting complex supplier contracts.
