Electrical Design Engineer

Melbreck Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work closely with the Mechanical Design, Project, and Software teams to provide control panel layouts, schematic drawings, and component specifications.
This is an office-based role with occasional travel to remote manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for generating electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams using Eplan Pro Panel, specifying and sourcing components, and supporting the installation teams and clients.
Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical control systems for special purpose machinery.
- Collaborate with the Mechanical Design department to package control systems within machine envelopes.
- Research and specify obsolete component replacements for existing machines.
- Work with low voltage single and three phase AC systems, ranging from 110V - 600V.
- Work with extra low voltage DC systems, typically 24V.
- Ensure product safety and compliance to relevant codes and standards.
- Provide technical support and advice on matters concerning product quality, test, inspection, and application.
- Ensure the integrity of designs through technical design calculations and provide reports when required.
- Time-proven practical electrical wiring experience.
- Previous electrical CAD experience specifically with E-plan Pro Panel.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Qualifications to HNC/HND standard or above in an electrical engineering related subject.
- Ability to manage a dynamic workload and have a flexible approach to the role.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail.
- Ability to work well as an individual and effectively within a group.
8:30 am - 5:00 pm
