Job Summary

The Bank Chef role at Barchester Healthcare offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality culinary experiences in a healthcare setting. As a Bank Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to create nutritious and flavorful menus that cater to the needs of residents. Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that meet the dietary needs of residents
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality food production
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, cooked to the highest standards
  • Help create a warm, efficient, and fun environment in the kitchen, promoting a positive team culture
  • Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team, promoting a culture of excellence and quality

Requirements
  • Hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team, with a good understanding of nutrition and working with fresh seasonal food
  • Good understanding of HACCP and kitchen management principles
