Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with care staff to motivate and guide them in the home activity program, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for residents.
  • Assess individual needs and participate in resident reviews to identify opportunities for rehabilitation and improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, monitoring and evaluating individual and group participation and success.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in the field of caring for older people, incorporating best practices into our activity program.
  • Foster good community relations and assist in the organization of fundraising initiatives within the home.
  • Assist the General Manager in planning special events, such as summer fetes and coffee mornings, to promote a positive profile within the community.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining resident confidentiality and adhering to company policies and procedures.
