Market Category Analyst Role

Diageo is seeking a skilled Market Category Analyst to join our Global Brand Supply Procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering procurement outcomes for Diageo within one or more categories of spend.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support sourcing activities for specific categories of spend procured in Market, by providing analytical support for MCS & CM.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise for specific spend categories, and supporting collation of data to aid appropriate decision making for procurement and key partners.
  • Accountable for active participation in a global community of procurement professionals in one or more spend categories, including joining regular meetings, supporting alignment around strategy, supporting development of own and others' capabilities & expertise and sharing of best practices.
  • Align local data with Diageo standards for data and knowledge management and for ensuring global access to it.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Procurement, Finance, FMCG Commercial, engineering or other relevant role, with exposure to supply markets and spend categories relevant to the role would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated performance in projects and in cross-market teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial awareness including a strong understanding of AOP requirements and financial goals & value drivers relevant to the categories in scope.
