The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced phlebotomist to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a phlebotomy specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from inpatients and patients attending outpatient clinics.
Main Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from inpatients and patients attending outpatient clinics
- Liaise with clinicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth sample collection and processing
- Perform venepuncture techniques in various clinical settings, working independently with minimal supervision
- Assist with reception and telephone duties as required

As a member of our team, you will be expected to adhere to our infection control guidelines and procedures, participate in annual mandatory training, and support our safeguarding children and adults policies.
Requirements- GCSE Maths or equivalent qualification
- Experience equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in a related field
- Able to perform phlebotomy procedures without direct supervision, once proficient
- Previous laboratory work experience and/or experience in a healthcare environment (desirable)
- Good level of computer literacy
