Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at Harmony Fire. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the preparation of management accounts, ledgers, and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare management accounts to full review level, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Own and report on variance analysis across the P&L, proactively investigating and resolving with departments across the business.
  • Prepare and review all scheduled Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations, ensuring complete and accurate reporting.
  • Manage the fixed assets accounting process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor and coordinate specific month-end activities per Month End close Timetable.
  • Support the performance of year-end processes, including providing all relevant information to external auditors.
  • Support the review of company minimum control standards.
  • Support the purchase ledger team with payment runs and open PO reviews.
  • Support the sales ledger team with framework and retention reporting.
  • Suggest ideas for continuous improvement within the area of expertise and take steps to implement changes as agreed with support from management.
Requirements:
  • Part-qualified AAT/CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
  • Prior accounting experience.
  • Experience of Xero or other systems, including full journal, reporting, and reconciliation routines.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to take an analytical approach with good attention to detail.
  • Strong prioritization and organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
