Job Title: Sous ChefWe are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our team at The Breakfast Club in Chelmsford. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering exceptional food quality to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet our high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Train and develop junior team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Manage stock levels, maintain inventory, and optimize kitchen efficiency to meet cost and quality targets.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus, manage labor costs, and optimize kitchen operations.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train team members.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.
