We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Staff Nurse to join our School Nursing Team in the South Buckinghamshire Area.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who wants to develop new skills in working in the community with children from 5-19 years old in home and school environments.
As a Community Staff Nurse, you will be part of a passionate, dynamic, and evolving team working closely with other teams across the county.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake child and family interventions, specifically with children and young people from 5-19 years, within both school and home environments.
- Benefit from a robust competency process, supervision, and extensive training to support progression onto the SCPHN (Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - School Nurse) programme at Bucks New University.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-skilled team to provide high-quality care and support to children and families.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, community groups, and other stakeholders to promote healthy lifestyles and well-being.
- NMC Registered Nurse: Adult, Child, Learning Disability, or Mental Health.
- Experience of working with children, young people, and families.
- Ability to carry out complex clinical assessments and develop effective care plans.
- Knowledge of current issues impacting professional practice and the ability to use evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
