Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Planning Specialist to join our team at Deerfoot I.T. Resources Limited. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients' financial planners, conducting research, and ensuring exceptional service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of comprehensive financial plans for clients, utilizing industry-leading software and tools.
  • Prepare detailed reports, charts, and financial models to support client recommendations.
  • Analyze client data and provide expert recommendations for financial strategies, ensuring alignment with our clients' goals and objectives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and follow-ups, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Conduct thorough research on investment options, financial products, and market trends to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior financial planning professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for improving financial planning processes and procedures, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning software, with a strong understanding of industry-leading tools and technologies.
  • Relevant financial planning certifications, such as the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII), with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial planning or similar role, with a proven track record of success and achievement.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of professionals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a strong academic record and a passion for financial planning.
