Our client is a prominent player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, currently embarking on a significant investment in their manufacturing facilities.

In light of this expansion and the introduction of new production lines, they are seeking a Bilingual Project Coordinator to oversee all capital and CAPEX initiatives on-site, while collaborating with the central project team located internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all new installation and modification projects.
  • Plan projects related to civil works, production and packaging machinery, utilities, chemicals, and IT systems.
  • Allocate resources effectively, communicate project goals, and develop workflow plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team during functionality assessments and commissioning phases.
  • Engage with other project managers across Europe, including travel to meet suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Conduct meetings with suppliers, plant managers, procurement managers, and contractors.
  • Define project specifications and prepare technical documentation for new installations.
  • Draft specifications for soliciting technical bids from suppliers and OEMs, and assign projects accordingly.
  • Oversee the budget for each project and provide reports on timelines, costs, and resource availability.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Spanish is essential for technical discussions with suppliers and OEMs.
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, and production environments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • A background in engineering is necessary, with an understanding of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
  • Knowledge of IT systems projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Able to produce detailed technical specifications for projects.
  • Experience in daily interactions with suppliers and OEMs for production and packaging machinery/systems.
