Job Title: Composite Fitter

Are you an experienced professional looking to take the next step in your career by joining a global leader in the manufacturing and engineering industry? Our client is a well-established company seeking a skilled Composite Fitter to carry out a range of hands-on manufacturing tasks.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, building, fitting, and creating composite parts and products. This will involve working with complex engineering drawings and moulds to produce high-precision composite components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Kitting and lay-up operations, including cutting kit of materials for build sequence, warp and weft.
  • Lay-up material on to mould surface correct orientation and build sequence.
  • Carry out tool preparation, including clean and apply release agent.
  • Cure operations to agreed engineering methods and processes using various plant and process equipment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Work to complex engineering drawings and with moulds to produce high-precision composite components.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Previous experience working with composites.
  • Experience of assembling, building, fitting, and creating composite parts and products.
