Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Aeronautical Engineering Craft Trainee to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about aircraft technology and engineering.
Program Structure:
The apprenticeship is structured as a three-year program, with the initial year focused on foundational studies at a partner educational institution, followed by hands-on experience at our operational site in subsequent years.
Educational Path:
The first year encompasses:
- Engineering Operations
- Technical Courses
- Advanced Mathematics for Engineers
- Essential Skills Level 2
- Functional Skills Level 2
The latter two years will advance to:
- NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering
- Technical Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering
- Wider Key Skills and Personal Learning Skills
Candidate Qualifications:
Essential:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at higher grades (C or above), including Mathematics, English Language, and Science (Double Award) with at least a grade B.
- One of the Science qualifications must be in Physics if taken as individual subjects.
- Candidates must be prepared to undergo background checks and security clearance procedures.
Desirable:
- Engineering Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in Principle Learning or Pathways to Apprenticeship.
