Job Summary:

H.W. Martin Group Careers is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to oversee legislative requirements across our operational locations. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial part in ensuring environmental compliance and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure that safe working practices and Health and Safety legislation are adhered to, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to uphold safety practices, manage audits, and communicate areas of concern.
  • Task Management: Ensure that essential Compliance tasks are completed in the agreed timeframes, and maintain a commercial awareness of business activity and the bottom line.
  • Data Quality and Compliance: Comply with policies and procedures, ensuring data quality with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of the Management team, develop a commercial awareness of business activity, and achieve performance targets as agreed with the Compliance & Special Projects Manager.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and progress by working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve Company objectives and individual targets, and create and maintain effective working relationships with the Line Manager, colleagues, sub-contractors, and site users.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Compliance Management, with a strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage audits and communicate areas of concern.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a commercial awareness of business activity and the bottom line.
