Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client's team on a full-time permanent basis. As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all vehicles, while maintaining the highest standards of repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all day-to-day operations in the workshop, ensuring repairs and maintenance works are carried out to the highest standards while meeting legislative requirements.
  • Repair and maintain HGVs as directed, either on or off site.
  • Assist the safe, efficient, and effective operation of all vehicles.
  • Undertake training to standards agreed by management.
  • Comply with the company's safety regulations, policies, and safe working practices.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management daily.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous experience working as an HGV mechanic or technician.
  • Welding experience.
  • Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Punctual, hard-working, with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • A full, clean driving license.
  • NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in HGV and plant maintenance or equivalent.
