Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at RECRUITMENTiQ, working in partnership with a leading mooring systems technology company for the global energy market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products for energy markets, including floating offshore wind. This will involve working on mooring line connectors, tensioners, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing calculations to support and verify design work, including Finite Element Analysis
  • Participating in project design reviews
  • Failure mode effect and criticality analysis
  • Report writing
  • Creating and managing 3D models and technical drawings
  • Checking and approving of other design engineers' output
  • Preparing project-specific documents for presentation to clients, authorities, and third parties
  • Meeting clients and users to determine their requirements
  • Presenting design solutions to interested parties
  • Preparing draft purchase orders
  • Overseeing testing and reporting conclusions
Requirements:
  • BSc in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar position
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 3D CAD knowledge, preferably SolidWorks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability to ensure tasks are prioritised appropriately
  • Honesty, reliability, and discretion, as working with confidential information
