As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre, ensuring they are legal, constitutional, and in line with accepted accounting practices.

Main Duties
  • Provide quarterly financial reports to the committee, highlighting the balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance, and financial viability of the charity.
  • Oversee the production of an annual budget and propose its adoption at the last meeting of the previous financial year.
  • Ensure proper records are kept and effective financial procedures and controls are in place.
  • Lead on appointing and liaising with auditors/an independent examiner.
  • Oversee bookkeeping is kept up-to-date.
  • Quarterly report on the petty cash system.
  • Quarterly carry out reconciliations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to charities.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management (as necessary).
  • Good financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
