About the Role

The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with robust experience within a forensic setting. You will be responsible for ensuring excellence in patient experience and outcomes, and will work closely with the Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services and Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional leadership to the psychology team
  • Contribute to the development of services and work to influence organisational thinking relating to the delivery of psychologically informed care
  • Advise at a senior management level on psychological aspects of organisational functioning, including the health and well-being of our colleagues
  • Work clinically with a dynamic multi-professional team leading development of individual formulations and psychological assessment
  • Support the development and delivery of behavioural and other psychological interventions for patients and service users
  • Provide appropriately developed psychologically informed guidance to reduce risks, aid recovery and independence

Requirements

  • Experience as a Consultant Psychologist in a forensic setting
  • Robust experience in leading a team and developing services
  • Ability to work clinically with a dynamic multi-professional team
  • Competence in a range of therapeutic delivery, including EMDR, DBT, CBT and CAT
  • Effective consultancy skills and ability to manage clinical/organisational projects
  • Line management responsibilities and service-related standards including clinical governance
