Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Networking Expert to join our dynamic team at Franklin Fitch. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based network solutions for our clients while leveraging DevOps practices to streamline and automate network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Implement Scalable Network Solutions: Develop and implement scalable and secure cloud-based network solutions tailored to client requirements, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  2. Collaborate with DevOps and IT Teams: Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate network automation into existing workflows, leveraging tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
  3. Implement CI/CD Pipelines: Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for network device configurations and firmware updates, ensuring seamless deployment and updates.
  4. Perform Network Assessments and Audits: Perform regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization, ensuring network performance and security.
  5. Configure and Troubleshoot Network Devices: Configure and troubleshoot cloud-based network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, ensuring optimal network performance.
  6. Develop and Maintain Ansible Playbooks: Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for network automation and configuration management, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  7. Monitor Network Performance: Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
  8. Create and Maintain Network Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures, ensuring easy access and understanding.
  9. Propose and Implement Improvements: Propose and implement improvements to enhance network performance, security, and automation, ensuring continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Cloud Networking Expert, with a strong background in cloud networking and automation.
  2. Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with cloud-based network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, with a strong understanding of cloud networking protocols and technologies.
  3. Proficiency in Automation Tools: Proficiency in network automation tools, particularly Ansible, with experience in developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks.
  4. Familiarity with DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, and Docker, with experience in integrating network automation into existing workflows.
  5. Strong Knowledge of Networking Protocols: Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, and cloud networking protocols.
  6. Experience with Cloud Networking: Experience with cloud networking, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a strong understanding of cloud-based network architectures.
  7. Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
  8. Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, and DevOps certifications, are highly desirable.
