Role Overview
Our North East region is looking to expand its Project Controls Team and is currently seeking Project Controls Engineers to assist with projects across various sectors, including energy, renewables, defense, rail, and utilities.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for you, as a Project Controls Engineer, to join our successful Project Controls Team. You will collaborate with a diverse range of clients to implement best practice Controls, Planning, Analytics, Reporting, Risk, Change, Resource, and Performance Management Solutions.
As a Project Controls Engineer with a focus on Planning, you will be an exceptional communicator, ensuring engagement and interaction with the schedule to maintain progress towards the successful achievement of project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering progress data from various teams to update project/programme schedules in Primavera P6.
- Collecting cost data from multiple teams to support budget requests and update cost reports.
- Preparing monthly reports that measure progress against the baseline.
- Assisting the Project Controls Manager with governance and assurance of Project Controls processes.
Qualifications
- Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant field with some experience in a project control environment. Project Controls Engineers should be proactive, self-motivated individuals with strong communication and analytical skills.
- Experience in a project or programme management setting, with responsibility for the delivery or controls of individual projects, programmes, or portfolios.
- Proficiency in using controls/general software applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Dependable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management abilities, quick thinking, and capacity to meet project deadlines as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
