We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team based in Winchester. This key leadership role is an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement construction design management (CDM) and environmental management systems (EMS) to identify and mitigate risks in designs.
- Discharge designers' responsibilities under CDM regulations and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of CDM/EMS regulations and their application in designs.
- Coordinate and manage site start and close-out procedures, ensuring adherence to company protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the technical and design team to develop site designs and provide engineering support throughout the planning and building regulation process.
- Manage consultants and external stakeholders to resolve engineering issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with the project team to secure the best planning consent and engineering solution for the company.
- Lead community engagement consultations to support planning applications and evaluate development opportunities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the housebuilding or residential development sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of UK building regulations, planning processes, and industry best practices.
- Proficient in the use of relevant engineering software and tools.
