About the Role

Behaviour Teaching Assistant

This role involves working with students who may present with mental health disorders, challenging behaviours, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will assist students in the classroom on either a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting their academic studies and ensuring they remain engaged with their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support students with their academic studies, providing individualized attention and guidance.
  2. Manage challenging behaviours effectively, using proactive strategies to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive interactions.
  3. Work proactively with students who have SEN and SEMH needs, developing tailored support plans to meet their unique requirements.
  4. Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  5. DBS checked and experienced in working in a school or similar setting.
  6. Available to start ASAP and commute to Guildford.
