Position Summary:


As a Trainer, your role will involve coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and evaluating students, assisting them in acquiring the crucial knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary for their apprenticeship.

You will conduct dynamic teaching sessions in both classroom and workshop environments, carry out mock assessments, and ensure that apprentices are adequately prepared for their final evaluations.


Key Duties:

Instruction and Guidance:
Deliver educational sessions in classroom and workshop settings, offering coaching and mentorship to apprentices.

Learner Oversight:
Manage a caseload of learners, ensuring consistent interventions and progress evaluations.

Evaluation and Record-Keeping:
Document and record evidence of learning achievements, funding, and compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure learners fulfill their 20% off-the-job training requirements.

Employer Collaboration:
Partner with employers to enhance apprentices' learning and development, fostering strong relationships and providing regular updates on progress.

Functional Skills Instruction:
Integrate and teach English and Maths (and ICT where relevant) to assist learners in achieving necessary functional skills levels.

Quality Control:
Collaborate with Internal Quality Assurers (IQA) to uphold best practices and provide essential documentation and reports.

Resource Creation:
Assist in the development of high-quality educational materials and ensure timely reporting based on key performance indicators.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Essential:
Relevant experience and qualifications in the occupational sector (Level 3 or higher).
Teaching or Coaching qualification (AET/CertEd/CTTLS/DTTLS).
Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective coaching and teaching sessions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and capability to meet performance targets.
