Job Description

Job Title: Experienced Secondary School Teacher

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term Substitute

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £765 - £1,110 per week, dependent on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced general Secondary School Teacher to join our team at Connex Education. This is a long-term, full-time appointment, commencing as soon as possible, with the view to continue for the full academic year for the suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a varied timetable across KS3 and KS4
  • Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Collaborating with colleagues to improve teaching practices
  • Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • QTS / QTLS or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a challenging secondary school environment
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or prepared to apply for a new one
