Position Overview: The Senior e-Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the precise submission and approval of electronic bills. This involves a thorough review of rates, management of disbursement controls, and strict adherence to billing protocols. Additionally, this role provides support for general billing activities and assists with client and matter setup as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee eBill submissions for assigned business units;
  • Implement guidelines and rate structures for outside counsel;
  • Review disbursement controls to mitigate unrecoverable costs;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on rate cards and client templates;
  • Analyze rate information at the client and matter level;
  • Develop and communicate rate and fee arrangements to attorneys;
  • Contribute to Business Intelligence reporting and data governance;
  • Manage the submission of rate proposals to eBilling vendors;
  • Engage in technology assessments and user testing;
  • Enhance resources available on the intranet and document management systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a billing department;
  • Experience in professional services or a law firm is preferred;
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities;
  • Exceptional communication skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Business Intelligence tools;
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
