CSC Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of high-spec residential projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage detailed cost plans and estimates from inception to project completion.
- Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure costs remain within budget.
- Conduct regular cost reviews and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality services.
- Prepare and manage contract documents, including bills of quantities, schedules of works, and valuations.
- Administer contract changes and manage variations to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage any disputes or claims effectively.
- Conduct regular valuations of ongoing work, assess the value of completed work, and issue payment certificates.
- Evaluate and certify subcontractor and supplier payments.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare contingency plans to address any unforeseen issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all project costs, variations, and contractual changes.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts.
- BSc Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
- Membership in a professional body such as RICS or CIOB is preferred.
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the super prime residential sector is essential.
- Proven track record of successfully managing high-value, luxury residential projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
