Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead our engineering team and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements, and implement best practices and innovative solutions.
    • Develop contingency plans and train staff accordingly.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
  • Supervision and Management:
    • Oversee engineering projects from concept to completion on time and within budget.
    • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to secure necessary products and services.
    • Manage supplier relationships.
    • Manage equipment failures or breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
    • Participate in on-call/standby rota outside of normal working hours to support 24-hour production.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure all maintenance and engineering activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
    • Promote a safe working environment and a zero-accidents culture.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance program to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
    • BEng preferred.
    • HND or equivalent in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument Control, and Process Engineering) may be considered.
  • Experience:
    • SAP intermediate-level experience.
    • Project management experience and qualifications are desired.
    • Significant experience of working in a similar business/manufacturing environment.
