Position Overview

Objective:

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive HVAC services to ensure optimal climate control across various facilities. This role involves conducting thorough inspections to identify and rectify any environmental factors that may affect system performance. The technician will operate within a defined schedule to maintain high standards of service delivery while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mitigate HVAC system issues at designated facilities.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance visits to ensure system efficiency.
  • Respond to urgent service requests promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain open communication with facility staff and management.
  • Foster strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Take initiative in addressing related issues, such as system cleaning and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide on-site training to team members as necessary.
  • Utilize refrigerants and other materials safely and in compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work hours and travel.
  • Ensure all tools and vehicles are well-maintained and operational.
  • Support the achievement of company performance metrics.
  • Ensure all systems operate at peak energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Complete all tasks efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both written and verbal communication, including report writing.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry advancements.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum GCSE level education.
Certifications
  • Relevant HVAC certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Prior experience in facilities management or related fields.
Additional Requirements
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Valid driving license.
