As an Occupational Therapy Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing effective and efficient service delivery. You will guide and support a team of qualified Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Technical Instructors, ensuring they deliver high-quality care to residents across Northumberland.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day leadership and management for the Community Occupational Therapy team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Effectively triage referrals and allocate cases to team members or appropriate services, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Offer regular supervision and appraisal to team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct quality audits of routine team member work and participate in targeted audit initiatives as needed, upholding high standards of practice.
- Collaborate with Senior Managers and the Head of Service to contribute to strategic planning and implementation of service improvements.
- Oversee the evaluation and decision-making process for non-standard equipment, major adaptations, and minor requests within designated budget parameters, escalating complex cases as required.
