Job Title: Landfill Gas Engineer

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Landfill Gas Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of remedial and maintenance operations at gas fields throughout the North of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor, measure, and audit existing gas fields to identify any faults or areas for improvement.
  • Remediation and Improvement: Remediate and improve gas fields in accordance with senior management instruction.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all gas field works meet design specification with all relevant drawings and written instructions.
  • Fault Finding and Repair: Fault find, maintain, and repair gas collection systems.
  • Testing and Auditing: Prepare and perform accurate pumping trials and audits.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Use appropriate drawings, scope of works, and CQA information to complete maintenance works.
  • Emergency Response: Deal directly with spillages using pollution prevention equipment.
  • Travel: Travel throughout the UK (predominantly North of North Wales/Lincoln).
Requirements:
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the operation of landfill gas generation/control schemes essential.
  • Construction Quality Assurance: Experience with Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) highly desirable.
  • Licenses and Certifications: A 360 and/or backhoe license would be advantageous.
  • Computer Skills: AutoCAD experience desirable.
  • Communication and Literacy: Computer literate and proficient.
  • Transportation: Full UK driving license.
  • Location: Based in Yorkshire/Manchester/Carlisle or Newcastle postcodes.
Remuneration:
  • Salary: £40,000 per annum.
  • Working Hours: 40-hour week, Monday-Friday.
  • Overtime: Overtime available (up to 8 hours a week at time and a half).
  • Company Benefits: Company van and fuel card, holiday package (25 days + 8 BH), private healthcare, and pension.
