Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Test Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Test Specialist to join our team at Advanced Technical Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our scientific instrumentation products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough functionality testing of sub-assemblies and systems to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Develop and implement technical procedures for semi-custom elements of the build, working closely with other staff members.
  • Test systems and sub-assemblies in line with production plans and meet output deadlines.
  • Organize and maintain test data and procedures, report writing, and keeping records for traceability purposes.
  • Author technical operator manuals to ensure clear instructions for our customers.
  • Provide day-to-day active involvement in post-sales support, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues.
  • May be required to provide support for other colleagues performing servicing, installation, and commissioning, both nationally and internationally.
  • Ensure quality control throughout all test tasks, using electrical schematics and 3D models/drawings.

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree or Masters level in a Science or Engineering discipline.
  • Previous work experience in a customer support, test, lab support, or equipment support role would be ideal.
  • Preference will be given to someone who has worked with scientific instruments or vacuum systems.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK and travel freely in the EU without any restrictions.
  • Candidates must hold a full clean UK driving license.
  • Able to travel and stay away from home when necessary to provide support on customer sites.
