Job Title: Account Engineer I

Claxton, a part of the Acteon Group, is seeking a skilled Account Engineer I to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing tooling and technology solutions to support a wide range of energy industry projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop tooling detail designs, drawings, and concept development for various energy industry projects.
  • Contribute to new product development, calculations, FEA, and control of design elements associated with projects and product development.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to assess design briefs and produce the best design solutions to project requirements.
  • Perform design work to produce required project documentation, drawings, calculations, procedures, and reports.
  • Generate FDS and TS for products and projects, and manage design elements of projects and products in accordance with Claxton Management System.
  • Provide design-related input into kick-off, design review, project planning, and other meetings.
  • Support validation testing and commissioning activities as required, and provide support to field operations and site integration tests for the project/product as required.
Requirements:
  • MEng or equivalent in Mechanical, Mechanical and Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a mechanical tooling design environment, with ROV/subsea tooling experience being advantageous.
  • Ability to use Solidworks and 2D CAD to create detailed models and drawings in support of projects and products.
  • Strong knowledge of machine design elements, strength of materials, and use of Mathcad and FEA principles to perform design verification using first principles.
