About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Configuration Analyst to join our Clinical Systems Team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering and developing the configuration build for our Epic and other software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Configuration Management: Manage, coordinate, and lead the configuration requirements to ensure timely delivery of the build.
  2. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the multi-disciplinary configuration team to ensure a consistent approach to configuration and integration between Epic modules and across the wider team.
  3. Design Integrity: Contribute to the Configuration and Application team to ensure design integrity and consistency.
  4. Process Improvement: Analyze and suggest ways to improve current workflows and working practices.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Work with stakeholders to analyze, negotiate, and facilitate agreement for change to high-impact or critical workflows and current working practices.
  6. System Testing: Assist with preparation for testing and upgrading of the system to ensure it is safe, usable, secure, and robust.
  7. Complex Demonstrations: Work with clinical systems teams to support complex Epic and other software demonstrations and present information on the teams' progress in an understandable format.
  8. System Delivery: Assist in the delivery of the Trust's EHR system.
Communication and Analysis
  1. Regular Communication: Maintain regular communication with other application teams and relevant supplier staff.
  2. Negotiation and Persuasion: Negotiate and persuade senior Trust staff to accept changes to working practices which will improve efficiency, patient flow, and/or patient experience.
  3. Complex Presentation: Present complex build work (Epic software) in an easy-to-understand format to clinical systems and/or Trust staff, including at senior and director level.
Analysis and Judgement
  1. Test Progress Analysis: Analyze and review test progress and variances to define recommendations to maintain schedules and raise any risks or issues highlighted through testing to the appropriate level.
  2. User Preference Investigation: Investigate end users' preferences and populate databases as part of the configuration process.
  3. Application Expertise: Be an expert in the application area, troubleshoot problems, and address questions from end users regarding the application.
Management and Training
  1. Complex Environment: Work in a complex and unstructured multi-disciplinary environment; act with minimum guidelines.
  2. Training and Development: Work with Principal Trainers to incorporate feedback from training sessions into future developments or make urgent changes to build as appropriate.
  3. Colleague Training: Assist with training colleagues in the application area and deliver specialist training when required.
  4. Demonstrations and Presentations: Deliver specialist demonstrations to staff.
  5. Test Script Development: Responsible for writing test scripts and delivering test functions within the clinical systems team.
